Founder & Owner

Flomen Nyambi-Tendong LL.B, MS, LL.M is the founder of Checkpoint Immigration Services LLC. (CIS). She is an immigrant from Cameroon who has personal experience with the American Immigration system. Her personal immigration experience and the challenges she witnessed in the immigrant community led her to specialize in immigration law while in law school.  She is an experienced immigration specialist who has worked under established immigration attorneys in Boston. She has also assisted many immigration clients in processing various immigration applications and petitions through the USCIS, National Visa Center, the Department of State and the National Benefit Center.


Prior to founding C.I.S, she was the Immigration Coordinator at the Refugee and Immigrant Assistance Center (RIAC) where she created the immigration Legal Services Department from the ground up. She has also worked as an immigration legal intern at the Harvard Immigration & Refugee Clinic at Greater Boston Legal Services. There, she assisted various clients in applying for immigration benefits. In addition, she worked as an Immigration Assistant with Project Citizenship in Boston, MA where she assisted clients to submit immigration applications.  Furthermore, she worked as Immigration Legal Intern at community Legal Services & Counseling in Cambridge. MA. Here, she equally helped clients file various immigration applications. In addition, she previously spent time as an International Student Advisor Intern at Bunker Hill Community College International Student Center in Boston, MA.


She is a successful Immigration Specialist with a kind personality and willingness to help others that set her apart. Giving back is an important aspect of Mrs. Tendong’s life and has dedicated numerous hours to helping those who cannot help themselves. This volunteerism has furthermore provided her with skills to better serve her immigration clients.


Mrs. Tendong graduated from Northeastern University School of Law in Boston, where she earned a Master Degree in Law (LL.M) with a specialization in immigration law. She also possesses a Master’s Degree in Communication from Clark University in Worcester, MA, a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B ) from the University of Buea,  Cameroon and a post Paralegal Certificate from Bunker Hill Community College in Boston, MA. She is a Notary Public of the State of Massachusetts. She is Fluent in English, Moghamo, Metta and Pidgin English and is a certified immigration court interpreter.
